Inconel 625 is used for laser welding of Inconel
alloy 625, Inconel alloy 825, Inconel alloy 25-6Mo and a range of high
alloy austenitic and super austenitic stainless steels, often used in
the aircraft industry. It is also used for surfacing of steel, for
laser welding of 9% Ni steels and various corrosion-resistant alloys.
Inconel alloy 625 has a good resistance to oxidation and scaling at
high temperature.
